Fourth of July Weekend

We had a very low key 4th this year. Phil had to work most of the weekend up in Conway at a gun show but we were able to enjoy lots of fun in the sun. Friday and Saturday evening we spent time with the Mallett family and had lots of fun playing the neighbors pool. First night was a little weary on all the kiddos....they didn't know what to think of the water. But when it came down to Saturday...Ace was doing flips off the diving board :) Sunday we drove up to Conway and had a BBQ with some friends. Food was great, hospitality was EXCELLENT, and the kiddos got to enjoy another day in the pool. Monday we had a cookout with our FAVORITES....the King family. We also enjoy their company and love watching the kiddos play together. After dinner, we came home and had a little firework show of our own. Ashlyn was fast asleep, Ace LOVED the show, but poor Aidan was scared to death. Phil had to go inside get ear muffs for the boys and then Aidan ended up sitting in the truck watching the fireworks from afar. Hopefully next year he will be able to enjoy them more. We ended the night inside watching a big firework display on TV. Another wonderful weekend with my GREAT family.

Chuck E Cheese

One evening I asked Ace where he wanted to take Phil for Father's Day and his response to me was "Mommy I think we should take him to Chuck E Cheese....I love that place and since I love that place....I know Daddy will love that place". So I told Philip about our little conversation and he thought that spending the day at Chuck E Cheese would be a GREAT way to celebrate Father's Day!!!! I am married to one AWESOME man...rather then spend the day by himself doing his hobbies....he would rather spend it with his family :) So we took the kiddos to Chuck E Cheese on Saturday and boy did they have a good time :) We ate lots of pizza and played lots of games and we even met a future Packers player. So all in all we had a wonderful Father's Day!

Grandma and Cousin Anthony's Visit

Grandma and Cousin Ant came to visit for a week and we have a wonderful time. I am blessed to have such a wonderful mother in law...she was able to come down for a week to help me with the kiddos while I was busy running around doing wedding stuff for my friend Sarah's wedding! Although I was pretty busy...we did manage to spend some quality time together. We were able to go to the Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo...took a couple trips to Magic Springs and even ventured off to Garvan Gardens. It was such a nice visit and the kiddos were in heaven with their Grandma around to spoil them :) Here are some pics of the visit:

Ahhh the joys of mothering boys!!!

This has been a long hectic week and to top things off....Phil had plans for all day on Saturday...which left me home alone with the kiddos. Well, I am relaxing on the couch, watching tv, and drinking my morning coffee...and I hear the kids playing nicely together (should have been my 1st clue), so I tell them that it is time to start cleaning their rooms up and they yell back..."Okay Mommy". Well about 10 mins later, Aidan comes running out telling me that his baby Elmo is outside laying on the ground. I have no idea what he is talking about, so I just go to their room to see what this boy is trying to tell me. And to my surprise...their room is clean....but the only reason their room is so clean is because they decided to open their window and throw all of their toys outside! Ahhhh!!!! I had to walk away...#1 so I didn't kill them and #2 so they couldn 't see me laughing.

Hospital

After a month a being sick on and off....we got some bad cooties in our house one week....which lead to Aidan getting really sick. After many visits to the ER and to the doc....we were finally admitted to St Joe's hospital. Aidan had Pneumonia :( His 1st couple of days were no fun...he was hooked up to oxygen, had IVs put in (which took about 5 tries...he was so dehydrated that his veins were not holding up), and he did not want to eat or drink anything. After the 1st couple of days..he started to slowly get better. He started eating and wanted his friends to come and visit him :) It was very hard on our family but we made it through with all the wonderful help from our great friends :) We did have to spend Easter in the hospital and they were so nice to have eggs delivered and Easter Bunny even made a visit but Aidan told him to go away and he did not like him...lol! We are very happy to be home and happy to have healthy kiddos...although now Philip and I are VERY sick :(
