Thanksgiving

The Johnson family had a very "blessed" Thanksgiving. It was a very quiet day spent at home with the family. I woke up early and make the boys some Cinnamon Rolls, but when it was time to wake them up....we soon realized that they were both sick and running fevers :o( So we all just laid on the couch watching the Macy's Day Parade. The boys were rather good for feeling so miserable, they laid around watching tv, slept, or played with their Daddy. I of course spent most of the day in the kitchen cooking. This was my first year making a REAL Thanksgiving Dinner. I made a homemade Pumpkin Pie, homemade Mashed Potatoes, homemade Crockpot Dressing, Roasted Turkey, homemade Green Bean Casserole, Cranberries, and Dinner Rolls......it was AMAZING! My plan was to have dinner on the table by 3pm, but it was more like 6pm, and by that time both boys were EXHAUSTED and ready for bed. But we ate our dinner, spent some more quality time as a family, and then we put the boys to bed. We had a very good Thanksgiving in our new house.

Aidan: 15 months old

It is hard to believe that my little baby is getting so big. I took him in today for his 15th month doctor's appointment and he is looking great. Asthma doesn't seem to be an issue this winter (Praise the Lord). He is doing good when it comes to weight :o) but a little on the short side! We tend to make chunky short babies :o) He did receive his Flu shot and all his other vaccinations (no H1N1 for us).

15 Weeks

Today I went to the doctor for my 15 week appointment. The baby's heartbeat sounds great....which is funny....because with both of the boys, my doctor could never hear the heartbeat....he always had to order an ultrasound for me. But not with this baby....we can hear the heartbeat strong and loud. Everything is going good with the baby, but as for me that is another topic. I have been having some really severe leg itchiness. Nothing seems to help, and I have tried everything. So our next step is go and see a dermatologist. Hopefully we will get to the bottom of this!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

The Johnson Family had a pretty laid back Halloween this year. The week before Halloween we carved some pumpkins, made some Halloween cupcakes, and enjoyed some Halloween music. This year Ace dressed up as Wolverine, Aidan dressed up as Incredible Hulk, and Philip dressed up as Batman. We took the boys to couple houses to do some trick or treating, and then Aidan and I ventured back home, while Ace and Daddy walked around the rest of the neighborhood. Ace had a GREAT time and was so happy with all the candy he had collected that night. As for me....Phil treated me to some Corn dogs and Loaded Fries from Sonic. So all in all we had a good Halloween.
