One Year Anniversary

Today we celebrate our One Year Anniversary in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Can't believe that it has already been one year. Time sure does fly by. We are so very happy with our choice to move out of Virginia. A lot has happened in this past year. Philip got a really good job working for the city with lots of time off and no more working weekends (YAY). Ace and Aidan have grown to be such handsome and smart little boys. We also welcomed our 1st little girl Ashlyn into our family. We are truly very happy :o) Of course we miss our family and dear friends but this was such a good move for us. This experience has brought our whole family closer together. Philip and I are stronger than ever....I think we have fallen more in love since moving here :o) We are very excited to see what plans God has for our family for this next year in Arkansas.

Ashlyn's Two Month Check Up

Today we took Ashlyn to the doctor for her 2 month check up. She is doing really good. She now weighs 10 lbs 10 oz and is 22 inches. She is growing so fast....I can't believe how big she is getting. Today she also recieved her first set of shots and she was no too happy about that :o( But all in all she is one happy healthy baby!

Butler Family Reunion 2010

This past weekend we took a little road trip to Louisiana to visit with family and to attend the 2010 Butler Family Reunion (my grandmother's side of the family). We left EARLY Saturday morning and arrived at our hotel around 9 am. Luckily we were allowed to check in early.....so we got ourselves situated and then headed out to the pool to get some swimming in and to visit with family. We stayed at the same hotel as my Father, Mother, Sister, and Brother. We enjoyed our time visiting with them. It was also the first time that any of them got to see Ashlyn in person. The boys also enjoyed time with their Paw Paw :o) They also had fun playing with Aunt Leeza and Uncle Adam. After swimming we all got dressed and headed over to see my Grandmother, Aunt Lynette and Uncle Roy. We got to visit with them some before we all headed out for a family baby shower. After the baby shower we said our good byes to Mae Mae, Aunt Lynette, and Uncle Roy......we then headed out to dinner with my parents. It was a nice dinner :o) We were all tired after a busy day...so we headed back to the hotel and my parents went straight to bed. As for us.....well our boys were wide awake. So Adam and Leeza came down to our room to visit for awhile....we had fun staying up till 2 am talking and visiting. The next day we woke up, packed our car, and headed out to the family reunion. It was a nice yet hot day. The boys had fun running around the big yard playing with Phil and Aunt Leeza. I enjoyed sitting in the barn with the fan and visiting with Mae Mae. Then it was time to enjoy some nice home cooked southern food....and boy was it YUMMY. After lunch it was time for us to head back home. Both boys were cranky and tired and Little Miss Ashlyn was burning up....so we decided it would be best to head back home. We really enjoyed our visit, but sad that it was so short.
