This morning I went in for my 28 week appointment.....yeah I said it.....28 weeks!!! Can you believe that I am already that far along, cause I sure can't. I am very happy and excited, yet a little sad to see this pregnancy go by so fast! It is truly bittersweet. The family can't wait to meet Little Miss, but I would love to keep her inside of my belly for a little bit longer. Philip and I have decided that this will be our last baby (of course we did say that with Aidan) but he very FIRM about getting fixed and I think that 5 is perfect number. But it still BREAKS my heart to think that I will never be pregnant again, that I will never have a little mini me growing inside me, that I will never feel those little or BIG kicks again :o( This has been a tough thing for me to overcome, cause I would love to have 7 kids ;o) but that just isn't realistic! The even harder part is that this pregnancy has been by far the WORST pregnancy I have ever experienced......I thought it was suppose to get easier the more you had ;o) but that just isn't the case with me. I have had the pressure, the contractions, loss of mucus plug, restricted to light bed rest, etc. Hopefully it will get a little bit better, but in my eyes....she is WORTH every bit of pain :o)
Doc appt was LONG but good. I had to do my 1 hour Glucose test....BLAH. I was lucky to have a morning appt, so I walked in .... drank the drink.....waited a awhile.....saw my doc....and then went back and gave blood. So it wasn't that bad. Doctor checked me over, BP is good, baby's heart rate is good, she is still in the head down position :o) :o) but no longer in the birth canal, so all the rest and relaxation has worked :o) My tummy is measuring a couple weeks behind....which had doc a little puzzled....so we are going to do an ultra sound at my next appt to make sure she is growing properly and what not. But all in all it was a good appointment :o)

Pressure and BH Contractions
This morning I woke up feeling sorta achy and sore. I went about the day as normal....took care of the kids.....cleaned some of the house....did a couple loads of laundry. And then I started feeling worse. I was getting a lot of heavy pressure down below and I started to have some BH contractions. Nothing seemed to help....I tried walking, sitting, taking a hot shower....and nothing seemed to help. So I made an appt with my OB and he was able to see me right away. They took my blood pressure (which was normal), took a urine sample (which was normal), listened to the baby's heart beat (which sounded great), he then measured my belly and was a little shocked to see that I was only measuring 23 weeks. So he did an internal exam and was again shocked to find out that her head was right there. I was not dialated and my cervix was still really thick....so he wasn't to alarmed. He told me that I needed to take things really easy and just pace myself, I need to stay off my feet as much as possible and just get lots rest. So as of right now....Philip has resticted me to the couch as much as possible :o) The boys are taking things rather good....Ace is being such a trooper but Aidan thinks that he is now able to get into everything......lol....BOYS :o)

24 weeks
This morning I went to my 24 week OB appt. The doctor took my blood pressure, listened to the babies heart beat, and measured my tummy. He said everything is looking good. I am measuring 1 week early, but nothing too drastic. So she is looking like a big baby! Next month, I will have to go in for my 1 hour glucose test :o( So wish me good luck on that!

Happy New Year
After having and very peaceful New Year's Eve, we had a very eventful New Year's Day. We all woke up rather late, and enjoyed some breakfast....and I made a nice hot cup of coffee and seconds later....our electricity goes out :o( :o( So we decided to make the best of it. We got the boys all loaded up and headed out to Chick Fil A for some lunch and for some fun in the play yard. We then headed back home and let the boys take a short cat nap, and once they woke up....we headed out to our backyard for some fun in the sun. The boys loved playing outside with their Daddy and just being boys :o) Then my oh so wonderful husband came up with the idea of making some hot chocolate on his grill.....and boy was that some yummy hot chocolate! The electricity came back on at 4 o'clock....but it was a nice day filled with fun family time together. Thank you God, for reminding us what is "suppose" to be important and that we need to take advantage of the times we do have together.

New Year's Eve
This New Year's Eve we took it easy :o) Phil had to work and I am 6 months preggo....so a night at home was all we needed. Philip knew that I was having a bad day, so he surprised me with some Chinese Food, and Sparkling Cider :o) :o) We sat around playing the Wii, talking, and watching the Ball drop. We even let Ace stay up to toast to the New Year. It was a fun night. And what a blessing to be able to spend it at home in peace with the people that I love the most!
